Welcome to the second generation of the popular K2. A winter-insulated, waterproof and breathable safety boot featuring a robust waxy nubuck upper incl. reflective decor. A heavy-duty front rubber cap and reinforced heel support ensure durability. The H-Dry® membrane keeps moisture out while offering excellent breathability; combined with 3M™ Thinsulate™ insulation, it keeps feet warm and dry during work under harsh conditions. The reliable Boa® system allows for easy entry and exit, while the removable, anatomical insole — featuring Coolmax® and antistatic properties - incorporates Poron XRD® for energy absorption. The Michelin® outsole delivers superior slip resistance, with a rugged pattern complemented by "Ice-Grip" technology to ensure traction on slippery surfaces. The K2 features a wide composite toe-cap, a non-metallic anti-penetration sole ("Whitelayer"), plus a light Phylon midsole. K2 is ESD-approved.

K2 is the world's second highest mountain at 8,611 meters above sea level. It is located in Kashmir, on the border between Pakistan and China. Not only is it high, cold and inhospitable, it is also considered one of the world's most demanding and dangerous mountains to climb. The death rate on K2 is historically high, at around 22% of those who attempt to reach the summit. Ironsteel K2 must also withstand tough conditions, although not under such extreme conditions.
